....the cowboys lose at home to cardinals, in the previous 25 games in dallas against the cards .....the cowboys have won 22 of 25(if I have my numbers correct). any other long time rivalry that approaches home dominance in a similar fashion?

The Dolphins beat the Bills every game of the 70s. The Bills finally won one against them in 1980 but I believe Miami extended their home streak over Buffalo well into the 80s.

Then of course, there's the Steelers' record over the Browns in both Three Rivers and Heinz: 38-6. The first 16 games in Three Rivers were all won by the Steelers before the Browns won four years in a row. Take away that four-year stretch and it's 38-2. Plus, one of those two wins came on a Hail Mary pass for the "new" Browns first-ever win in '99.

Conversely, from 1950-73, when the Steelers came to Cleveland, the Browns were 20-4.

Shula's Dolphins also won their first 16 games at home against the Pats. The streak ended in the '85 AFC title game and the Pats won the next three before Miami ran off six straight. The last meeting with Shula in charge in Miami was won by New England in '95.

During Bud Grant's first run (1967-83), the Vikings were 14-1-1 at home against the Lions. The lone win for Detroit came in 1974 (20-16), while the tie came in the very first meeting in '67. In that tie game, the Lions set an NFL record with 11 fumbles, losing five of them. The last one came with 45 seconds left when Tom Nowatzke fumbled at the Viking 10.

Starting with the infamous 72-41 game in 1966 and ending with another infamous moment--the Joe Theismann injury in 1985, the Redskins were 16-4 against the Giants. at DC/RFK.

From 1975-2008, the Broncos were 28-6 at Mile High/Invesco against the Chiefs.

In the first 25 years of the Rams' "rivalry" with the Falcons, the record in the L.A. games was 20-1-2 in favor of the Rams. Atlanta never won at the Coliseum (0-11-2), and were only 1-9 at Anaheim--they didn't play in '82 because of the strike.

The Packers have won 23 in a row at home (including one playoff game) against the Lions.

Until last year when they broke the string, the Lions had lost 21 in a row at Washington.
