Hey Guys:

Does anyone know the exact year that the New York Jets defensive line received the moniker "The New York Sack Exchange"? Was that in 1978, 1979, or 1980? Thanks for your help.

It was 1981. Greg Prato wrote a great book on the subject, and interviewed Pepper Burruss (who was the Jets' trainer at the time) and... here's the story
