I don't think they won in spite of Brady, but they didn't win those SB's because of him. And, they didn't beat far inferior teams. Those Pat teams weren't that great themselves. The 01 and 03 teams were among the worst SB champs ever, and the 04 team was a by-product of those other ones.

I'm sorry but this is the most delusional post ever seen on this forum. "Worst" and "14-2/SB champ team" do not ever belong in the same sentence. This opinion is indeed unpopular.

Just because you are 14-2 doesn't mean you are great. Look at the Atlanta Falcons of 1998. They made the SB, but didn't do anything the next year.

In the 00's, there really weren't any true powerhouse teams for the most part, so you had teams like the 03 Pats and 04 Steelers over achieve and win more games than their talent allowed.

The comment was in regard to worst 14-2 SB champions. The '98 Falcons didn't win the SB but, ignoring that, what the '99 team did or didn't do has nothing to do the '98 team. There are no carryovers.

One more thing; no team has ever won more games than their talent "allowed".

The Indianapolis Colts should change their nickname and logo. The Baltimore Ravens should then change their nickname and logo and become the Baltimore Colts...again.

Colts should have changed their name and logo the moment the Mayflowers touched down on Indy thus enabling Modell to change his team's name and logo (back) to Colts 12 years later. But there already has been Indy Colts and Baltimore Ravens all these years so why go back now? Same with Rams. As much as I wish they never left LA, they already did leave, fan-base already established in StL (and a 'Greatest Show' era to look back upon as well), so they may as well have stayed there IMO.

The original Colts aren't the current version, since they folded after their first NFL season. So it wouldn't have been the first time that the name was re-used.

Lombardi Trophy presentation should be returned to the intimacy of the locker room, and the players should wear their game jerseys, not a cheap, stupid "World Champions" T-shirt that the NFL is pushing for $.

I would also ban "hoodies" for players (James Jones) and coaches (Bill Belichick).
