Doesn't the NFL know they are screwing up our trivia game?

Without looking anything up, will take a stab at the two runner teammates ... DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart for Carolina?

What do these seemingly unrelated players have in common?

Walt Garrison
Lawrence McCutcheon
Jeff Otah
Ron Rivera

One hint will be provided if this goes a few days with everybody stumped. :D
HINT: Each of these players has a unique link between the college they played for and the NFL team that drafted them.

In the original NFL Films 'Best Ever Runners' of 1982...the first pro RB to be shown is Walter Payton. Who is the second RB shown in the film?

Bryan wrote: Tue Mar 07, 2023 2:13 pm These two RBs were backfield mates for 5 seasons. They retired with nearly identical career rushing totals, yet one RB went to the pro bowl 3 times in the 5 seasons they were teammates while the other RB never really came close to making a pro bowl.

Name the two RBs.
Giving a hint....the jersey numbers of the two backfield mates were #20 and #24.
