Tom Brown, safety, Packers 1964-'68 and Washington for one game under Lombardi in '69.
Brown started in three straight NFL championship games from 1965-67 and in Super Bowls I and II. The highlight of his career was a game-saving interception in the closing seconds of the Packers' 34-27 victory over Dallas in the 1966 NFL title game.

the error is here-
"He played in the World Championship Game in 1964, when the Browns beat the Colts 27-0. It was the next year when the NFL game was merged and renamed The Super Bowl."
It was two years later. Not the next year.

There is a terrific article in the April 24, 2025 edition of the Wall Street Journal on the passing of Susan Tose Spencer and her single-handedly holding the Eagles' franchise together in the early 1980's after her father ran into difficulties. I believe it's behind a pay wall and am not sure if I can link to it.

Former Packers tackle Steve Wright (who also spent time with the Giants, Redskins, Bears, and Cardinals) died June 1 at age 82.
Fun fact: Wright was the model for the statue that now accompanies the NFL's Man of the Year award.
