Interesting...
Does the San Diego Franchise have "rights" to USC and UCLA graduates?
Is their pool of four NFL teams the four California teams (49ers, Rams, Raiders, Chargers)?
More importantly, is there a link to these pressing issues?
Or do I have to keep bombarding you with questions?

There are a lot of "mix-ups" that seem intentional. Perhaps to ensure no one team gets a surplus of talent?
USC and Stanford go to San Diego but Salt Lake gets Cal while Phoenix gets UCLA.
Makes about as much sense geographically as the old NFC West alignment (when it had 5 teams)...
I am thinking these teams might be at an advantage:

I wonder how in blue blazes they came up with these allocations.
Geographical? I am skeptical...

There are some notable absences from the list of colleges assigned (for instance, Big Ten schools like Ohio State, Wisconsin and Michigan), the idea perhaps being that there may be a franchise someday in Columbus or Milwaukee. On the other hand, they don't seem to have learned from the mistake that the USFL made of assigning Oklahoma U. to a club's territory (in this instance, San Antonio). The New Jersey Generals had the rights to OU players back in 1983-- when the Oklahoma Outlaws got a franchise in '84, the Generals owner (who later went on to other things) wouldn't yield when the Outlaws wanted to have first pick of Sooners players.
