Well Richard, the Lions defense stepped up big tonight and can now rest and get ready to defend their home throughout the playoffs. If both coordinators dont get head coaching jobs, I will be amazed ...
At least the Vikings can get another crack at the Rams. The Steelers face the Ravens again and the Packers will get the Eagles again as well ...

I could see Glenn and Johnson staying put if the Lions fall short this season, Brian. They're t...h...i...s close to winning a ring, and going somewhere else as HC means taking a few steps back. But if the Lions win the SB, then, yeah, they're gone.
Good news is the culture has dramatically changed in Detroit---Campbell, Holmes, the Ford family---so finding a couple new coordinators would be a task but one I think the club would handle intelligently and well.

Tampa Bay is literally NFC Bengals- all offense, no defense, bad coaching

Last comments on the 2024 regular season ...
Wasnt much of a "black monday" for coaches getting fired. Only Pederson, after Mayo got embarrassingly let go, on sunday. Reading Krafts notice, it seemed like he copied and pasted the same statement from the Belichick firing. Is he really going to bring in Vrabel, another linkage to Belichick? You would think he will do a fresh approach but Vrabel did have experience and success with the Titans.
The Jags get rid of Pederson but keep Baalke? Like cockroaches, Baalke keeps chugging along. The Giants keep Shoen and Daboll but why not try to go for Johnson? I think Mara just didnt want to panic just yet, but if Daboll doent develop Sanders, Ward or someone else quickly at QB, he will be gone after 2025.
Will the Cowboys let McCarthy talk to the Bears? I think they will re-sign him, since Ben Johnson would want more control in Dallas. Could the Cowboys bring back Kellen Moore as HC?
A crazy year with two 15-2 teams and two 14-3 teams. Also a 13-4 team, and lots of mediocrity in between.
The best thing about this year ... the resurgence of the veteran running back. I get it, most backs are done by the time they hit 30 years old, but experience, pride and good money can still motivate them to succeed. Two backs had nearly 4000 yards and 33 TDs but others had good seasons as well. Like a food-loving HC once said, "A QBs best friend, is a good running game."
The worst thing about this year ... as usual, the officiating of games still arent good enough. Too many penalties are still missed, especially on offensive lines and receivers pushing off and defenses still get too many aggression penalties, called. With owners aggressively in bed with rampant, legal gambling, the officiating has to be better without ticky-tack penalties prolonging games and commercial time-outs.
