Fouts, like Marino, wasn't the same QB in the post-season.

Yeah, Dan had those miserable games against Houston in 1979/80 and Miami in 1982/83 but he also beat the Bills in 1980/81 during the final minutes and led a comeback against the Steelers in the 1982/83 postseason. He led a great comeback against the Raiders in the 1980/81 AFC championship game but drops by John Jefferson, hurt their chances at winning.

Marino choked in big games: stats don't lie:
'83 playoff team vs Seattle 2 Ints 77.6 QBR
'84 SB vs SF 2 ints 66.9 QBR
'85 vs NE at home 2 ints 54.9 QBR
'90 vs Buffalo 2 ints 72.1 QBR
'92 vs Buffalo at home 2 ints 56.5 QBR
The only playoff loss he played well
'94 vs SD 0 ints 109.8 QBR
1995 vs Buffalo 3 ints 63.4 QBR
1997 vs NE 2 ints 29.3 QBR!
1998 vs Denv 2 ints 65.5 QBR
1999 vs Jax 2 ints 34.6 QBR!
Marino created so many turnovers he should have worked as Pillsbury's spokesperson not Pop N Fresh.

I just dont see Norm Snead in the top 90 of QBs. The Eagles gave up Jurgensen for this guy? Stats or not, he never led his team to many wins and had talent on the Eagle's teams. Threw a ton of interceptions and couldnt do much with a loaded team in Minn.

I’d definitely agree with that. Had he passed at the same level in both cases, he probably wins a ring or two, maybe would rank at least 5-10 spots higher.saturdaysarebetter wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2026 12:47 pm Fouts, like Marino, wasn't the same QB in the post-season.

That said, for the top offenses he led, and the stats he put up for the time he was in, I might take his career over Tittle at least (Fouts was 30th, and Y.A. Tittle 29th).

No, nor would I ever want one from him. I take it you're a fan since you're anti-factual statistics.
