Billy Kilmer’s performance is the second best passer rating in NFC Championship Game history.

Not as good as Rypien when they beat the Lions in the 1991 season Championship.

That was one day when Kilmer's wounded ducks kept finding their target. The closer you look at that game, the more reasonable it seems that bettors favored them over Miami.

Yep, bad game for Watters, with Landry benching Adderley. I didnt realize Rypien played that well against Detroit.

Thanks for this thread, SeahawkFever ... it made me appreciate what Lovie Smith did more with the Bears. If only Jay Cutler wasnt so jittery in the pocket. I liked watching Forte. Its hard to believe that this Bears team didnt do more with Forte, Knox--who got hurt--Hester, Olsen, Marshall and Jeffery.

That is in fact the highest NFC Championship Game passer rating.

Bryan does a great job on these trivia quizzes ... sometimes, nobody has the right answer, I am sure he'll have another Super Bowl edition?

Rypien was the epitome of 15 minutes of fame

The most random good season ever by an average QB

Could it be argued that Rypien had one of the best Super Bowl winning seasons by a quarterback who is generally considered among the worst to win a Super Bowl?

I’m talking about guys like Rypien, Hostetler, Dilfer, Brad Johnson, etc?
