When Moon and the Vikes lost to Walsh and the Bears, I knew a SB wouldnt be in his cards but he was definitely a leader, making Cris Carter a better receiver in my view but joining the NFC with Dallas, SF and an emerging GB was tough for his later career. Had the Oilers managed to get by Montana and the Chiefs in 1993/94, could they have beaten the Bills in The House Of Pain and given the Cowboys a tough SB with Aikman clearing the cobwebs from a recent concussion ?
That Oiler defense under Ryan would have really brought the rush in those two games.

Just a mere mention, not a case of the feeling-the-"worst"-for category (a universe of others to feel sympathy for first), but Jack Patera not only missed out on winning a League Championship in '58 (and '59 as well), but not playing in..."The Greatest Game Ever Played"!

Again, not "worst"-for examples either, but of course you got Pro Bowlers Bruce Van Dyke & Henry Davis missing out on '74 along with starter Jack Del Rio likewise with '92!
