Which team do you consider the best of each decade?

Injuries or not, the Raiders beat the Steelers twice in 1976, and 1977 as well ... how could the Steelers be the best, 7D? Because of a defensive surge? Other than the Bengals, who I feel choked away the division, the other seven games were wins against teams with losing records including the Dolphins, who had their only losing season that decade without Morris, Scott(Wash) and Anderson, with Buoniconti, Stanfill playing very few games.

76 felt like such a frustrating season because it ended up being basically the same old same old outside of NE/BAL. Fans wanted new blood. Teams like the 49ers, Cardinals, and Bengals gave real hope only for it to end up being another rerun

Yep ... without injuries, maybe the Steelers do three-peat and maybe the referees helped Oakland against the Patriots in the playoffs but the Raiders still got it done. I just dont see the 76 Steelers being better than 1975. The debate could be between the 72 Dolphins, 75 Steelers, 78 Steelers and 76 Raiders. Those teams were awesome though Morrall led the Dolphins for most of that 1972 year where they nearly lost to the Browns in the playoffs. The Patriots, Bengals and Colts had their chances but couldnt win on the road.

I feel the Bengals screwed up getting rid of Bergey and Joiner. They could have challenged Pitts better with those two. Once Joiner left, it was all on Curtis to challenge the secondary but Coy Bacon, who came from that Joiner trade, did help their pass rush.

90's- 1991 Washington Redskins, seems to be a controversial opinion but I just feel like they had a better season than any others, they didn't get dominated in any way like the 96 Packers did against Dallas that season or like how the 94 49ers did by Philly, didn't have the blunder loss like the Leon Lett game that Dallas had in 93, won more games than either 92/93 Cowboys teams, played tougher Super Bowl opponent in prime Bills squad that was favored to beat them, played tougher schedule than 99 Rams, only teams I would put on their level are 98 Broncos and 90 Giants but still feel like they had more impressive season than they did.

C'mon CS ... Parcells/Gibbs are overrated with five championships and seven conference championships between them? Without Parcells success, there is no Belichick success. Parcells was also the first HC since Shula to take different teams to a SB game.

The 1987 SB was won because he decided not to trade Doug Williams. Schroeder wouldn't have led the Skins to the SB (Williams and Gibbs talked about this in the 1987 America's Game episode).

The 1991 SB was won because they played Atlanta and Detroit, and they were fired up in SB 26 because Buffalo's DL coach (Dickerson) was running his mouth before the game and making fun of the Hogs.

In 1982 they had to win 4 games. Name all the teams that did that. I'll wait.
