They seemed to stay in an offensive momentum the rest of the season, although Dallas finally ended their winning streak at RFK ...
That was the 2nd week

Another exciting game was the 2004 opener between Indy at NE ... The Colts score in the 4th qrt to cut the Patriot lead to 27-24 but the Colts with Vanderjagt miss a FG at the end. The Manning-Brady rivalry was heating up.

That was always my favorite Manning vs Brady game. From that same weekend 2004 the Steelers and Raiders played a great game with Oakland coming back from 2 touchdowns in the fourth to tie it. Pittsburgh won with a FG in the end, bunch of legends on the field.

One that I'm surprised has not been mentioned is Peyton Manning's 7-TD game against the Ravens to start his 55-TD season. Still hard to believe he was absolutely washed two years later. Nerve injuries are a bitch.

HGH could only help Peyton so long.

Had the Bills not had the game winning FG drive, might have been criticized for going for two point conversions too soon.

It was a replica of last year's AFC Championship Game. The opponent committed a penalty on the extra point. Sean McDermott chose to take the penalty, and attempt a 2 point conversion from the 1 yard line. Both times, it failed. They scored a touchdown later, and went for 2 again... and failed.

With a 40-38 lead, the Ravens had their chance to put away the game. Instead they run a jet sweep where Flowers falls down on 2nd and 6 or 7, then Jackson throws short on 3rd down. He claimed he wanted to run but couldnt due to leg cramps. Thats probably why the NFL will go to 18 games, so the players have two extra games to get up to game speed conditions ... while avoiding injuries.
