Chuck Foreman has made this year's Seniors list. A campaign seems to help. Larry Brown also is on it this year.

We will see if both can advance ... Two years in the queue could help out Brown ...

Foreman because it's excessively rare to score 15+ TDs multiple two seasons in a row even in this era. He did it in 14-game seasons, and one of them he scored 22 TDs. Then the next year he scored 14. Hard to find many people with at least 14 TDs three years straight, even with 16, 17 game seasons. That's a real accomplishment on top of everything else he did.

Appreciate the feedback in full agreement with Chuck Foreman 100%

Just looking at Foreman career ranks at retirement, 1980:

* Rush yards: 17th, 5,950
* Rush TD: 11th, 53
* Scrimmage yards: 16th, 9,106 — among RBs, behind Brown (1st, 14.8k), OJ, Perry, Franco, Jim Taylor, Walter, L. Mitchell, Kelly
* Rush/Rec TDs: t-16th, 76 — among RBs, behind Brown (1st, 126), Jim Taylor, Kelly, Perry, Gifford
* Receptions, RB: 4th, 350 — Morrison, 395; L. Mitchell, 376; Gifford, 367

(I'm not counting Lenny Moore or Bobby Mitchell as RBs)

Today his hometown newspaper the Frederick (MD) News-Post just ran a story about his renewed efforts to be considered, which is what prompted my question, since I grew up in Frederick too. The closed comp I can think of who's in the Hall of Fame is Floyd Little, but I know he got in by a narrow margin.
In terms of this question, what are his odds, it's tough to say because it changes with voting changes, but three things stand out to me.

1. The comparison to Floyd Little doesn't totally work because part of what propelled Little was that there were only two "real" Broncos in at that point, Elway and Zimmerman. The push for Little was partly related to Broncos fans wanting to push someone from earlier in franchise history.

That doesn't exist with Foreman, because the 70s Vikings have a bunch of HOFers, and there are more post-1980 Vikings than there were post-1980 Broncos.

2. Foreman's case is being dual-threat + high peak + contribution to a multi-time championship contender. I think voters will have to address Roger Craig first.

3. Will Vikings fans / media / Mark Craig push Foreman or Jim Marshall first? And would Marshall getting in close the door on Foreman?

So Foreman could get in, but with the probable reduction in senior slots (mathematically) and the candidacy of Craig, the question of when is a real one.

I'm thinking due to age the likely option would be marshall
