I've seen the late 1970's Packers secondary called SWAT, but I've only seen that reference once. Can anyone else confirm this nickname?
Yes. Steve Luke, Willie Buchanon, Mike (C.) McCoy and Johnnie Gray.

Probably amongst the earliest was the "suicide seven" of the Eagles in the early 50's the great 5-man D Line backed by 2 LB's including Concrete Charlie.

The Colts 5-man line of the early to mid 50's with Gino and Art starring was the Fearsome Fivesome before any of the Fearsome Foursomes. I get a threesome just isn't Fearsome :D

Nick's post reminded me of the '61 Charger back seven w/ 49 INTs that year. The "Seven Bandits".
