The book about Noll was very good...but not really getting at Noll's inner-thoughts on his players or his opponents. One thing I recall is that Noll was very upset with the Steelers effort in 1977, particularly Glen Edwards (who wanted more money), so Noll shipped Edwards off to San Diego.

Was he candid at all during the book? Especially about Haley, the Rooneys, coaches, scouts or anyone? He was so private, it seemed like anything he did say about his players or opposing players, coaches etc, were mostly through newspaper accounts, and even those could misinterpret the facts ...
