Just to really highlight the Jets ineptitude, the period of the teams history that fans actually look back on fondly was 1997-2010 or so. During those 14 season the Jets had 10 winning seasons, and made the playoffs 7 times and won 7 playoff games. They went to 3 AFC Title games and lost them all (all on the road). Won 2 Divisions. Mainly due to being in the same Division as NE
That's it. Looking back on it now it seems unreal that the Jets could put up 10 winning seasons in 14 years. They were legitimately a quality franchise. Not elite, but above average.
Only now are Jets fans starting to appreciate the Parcells/Herm/Mangini/Rex eras
