Re: top 10 Patriots of all time
I'm going with Dan (Daniel) Morgan as my favorite Patriot.
He doesn't have a brew but he did make the Pro bowl in 2004.
And his envelopment maneuver at the Battle of Cowpens is still regarded as a masterpiece of the Revolutionary War (take that Banastre Tarleton).

The advertising agency for which I was chief copywriter handled tourism advertising for Norfolk County, which includes the Adams birthplaces and Foxboro. An early version of the Declaration of Independence was signed in Norfolk County in 1775. The slogan we came up with was "Home of the Patriots since 1775."Bryan wrote:I would put Sam Adams above all three of those guys. Not only was he a starting offensive guard, he was also pretty good at brewing beer in mass quantities.John Grasso wrote:Every time I see the title of this thread I expect to find names such as
John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine.
I wanted to do a billboard showing John Adams in a football helmet and Sam Adams in a powdered wig, but I was voted down

Sam Adams might be the most regionally appropos name for a player in NFL history. With the possible exception of Seattle wide receiver Louis Clark.

For one stretch in the early 1970s, the Patriots had Sam Adams, Julius Adams, and Bob Adams on the roster.

Well we had Joe Washington and George Washington Rogers play RB for my Washington Redskins in the 80's. During the 1981 season Joe Washington injured his ribs in a game against the Cowboys in Dallas. I have never been able to find the quote since then but I swear that I recall Tom Landry saying post game, "well you know, Washington is not Washington without Washington."
