I don't think Anderson was really so consistent. Here are his passer ratings from 1974-82:
95.7, 93.9, 76.9, 69.7, 58.0, 80.7, 66.9, 98.4, 95.3.
What's consistent about that? Granted, passer rating is a flawed stat, but you get the same kind of fluctuation if you use his TD-to-interception rates, for instance.
I don't have any problem with Anderson in the Hall of Fame or not, by the way. I just think a discussion of his qualifications should stick to things that are actually true.
