Good one. I think he's the most obscure 1,000-yard rusher from the days when that was still a rare accomplishment -- i.e., before Jim Brown and Jim Taylor. Feathers is remembered because he was the first; Spec Sanders because he was the first to average 100 yards per game; Van Buren was the dominant back of his era; Joe Perry did it twice. Unless I'm missing somebody else, I think Canadeo's name is less recognizable than any of the others.

Re: Obscure trivia
He really is obscure. He didn't even win the rushing title the year he gained 1,000---Steve Van Buren did.
Re: Obscure trivia
Name the two players.
My last year was his first year and we played on the same team. That team is not the team we are known to play for. The team we are known to play for, is the same team.
We each played over 15 seasons. We are not skill position players.
added - Although tall for our position, we are still considered to be on the smaller side
One of us was born outside the United States
One of them made an all decades team in two different decades

Tony Dorsett or Franco Italian-American ...
Re: Obscure trivia
Franco Harris is correct!
Two coaches have won multiple UPI "Coach of the Year" awards despite never having won a postseason game. Name them.

Allie Sherman, Jim Mora?
Re: Obscure trivia
I think you're right about Sherman. But as far as I can tell, Mora was only a one-time UPI coach of the year.
My first thought for the second guy was Jack Pardee, but he did win one playoff game in about 1991. Then I thought it might be Leeman Bennett, but again, it turns out he did win one playoff game -- 1978, I think. So at the moment I don't have any more ideas.
