I love ties ... because it drives people who can't abide a third result for a contest insane.
Our culture is so weird about ties. Cracks me up.

I would like even a separate post about which were the best games since OT was implemented that resulted in a tie.
Off the top of my head is the 34-34 2002 Atlanta at Pittsburgh game finishing in Plaxico Burress' 50-yard catch in the last play of OT being stop short by the Falcons. The Falcons had tied the game in the last minute thanks to a MIchael Vick TD run.

Week 1 of the 1971 season featured the Dolphins and Broncos playing to a 10-10 tie. Instead of advancing the ball downfield with 1:14 remaining, Denver coach Lou Saban opted primarily for running plays which used up the clock. When asked about his strategy, Saban was quoted as saying, "Half a loaf is better than none." From that point on Saban was known as "Half a Loaf Lou" in the Mile High City. He eventually resigned following a week 9 loss at Philadelphia.
Fast forward to August 31, 1973. Lou Saban brings his Buffalo Bills into Mile High Stadium for a pre-season game. He and his squad are greeted with a showering of half loaves of bread courtesy of the fans sitting in the South Stands:
