Hard to believe the Rams lost to the lowly Cardinals. Titans get their first win while the Texans win a shootout. Philly, Dallas and Baltimore are still struggling. I think the Chargers and Dolphins are the only winless teams.
Could the Giants give McCarthy more playing time though Winston should still stay the starter?

And Chris Ballard is out in Indy ... Will ICarly become the GM ala, Jerry Jones?
Team never had luck on a QB after Luck retired. Rivers might have helped more but retired and Richardson simply hasnt developed enough. Jones is getting alot of heat but Pittman left and Pierce has been injured.

Shame about Jalen Hurts, who may be out for the season, unless blood thinners can help him out. Probably one of the most maligned QBs to ever win a championship; so close to being a multiple champion at that ... I hope his career isnt over in Philly and Marianni's shouldnt be either. Can Tanner McKee or another QB help save their season? For team doctors to let Hurts play despite his problems and staying up for 36 straight hours is beyond irresponsible.

Titans had their chance to win their second game in a row ... something they hadnt done since 2022 but were stopped by the Browns defense on a goal-line stand which was the difference. Watson and the Browns are winning close games but its helps to have a non-call on a false start before the catch by Fannin to set up the winning FG.
Miami gets their first win as their offense has a big day against the Jets with Glenn still making questionable coaching decisions, like using his timeouts.
Falcons get a win against the Niners stopping their unbeaten streak while the Vikings keeps theirs alive. Huge divisional win for the Bengals against Baltimore. Panthers look bad in their divisional matchup with Tampa and big win for Lions over Packers. Could the Packers make a move for Taylor from Indy and dump Jacobs before the trade deadline?
Njigba-Smith made a great catch for the Hawks but it wasnt a TD. The ball was never inside that pylon or crossed the plane. Should have been first and goal ...

The jury is in. Aaron Glenn is not a good head coach. The Jets have really ruined football for me. My posting here has gone down considerably. I didn't renew my subscription to the Association. I don't have Sunday Ticket anymore. I saw some of the plays of the Packers-Lions game but really wasn't watching it. Then I barely looked at the Chiefs-Seahawks game. The Jets caused me in recent years to have football apathy. 2024 was the real killer year. I tried to give Glenn every benefit of the doubt with the clock mismanagement in 2025 and the ineptitude of the final five games of that season. I can't anymore. You cannot be this pathetic with the clock and stand there on the sideline being all dopey about it and making yourself a fool all the time. I am pretty sure in one of these threads that I was critical of his clock mismanagement in the first half vs Tennessee. That Jets ended up pummeling that opponent so the issue was overlooked by fans that day.
24 games
5 wins
1 interception
outscored 107-6 in the final two minutes of the first halves

Sorry, JWL ... another painful loss by the Jets.Defense seemed to collapse against the Raiders.
Might be over for Lamar Jackson, though I do feel he could come back and play if the team rallied. He simply should have signed his extension before the season, before injuries could make him damaged goods. Inevitably, every running QB succumbs to injuries ... Should Baltimore move on?
Not since the Oilers lost a 35-3 lead to Buffalo in the playoffs, have I seen a worse pass defense in the second half of a game for the Oilers/Titans franchise. That CB for the Titans literally watched while Higgins ran right by him to catch the TD in the endzone to tie the game before the overtime ... all this for Burrow despite three interceptions.
KC had every chance to put Denver away in the final minute of the game but chose running plays as the clock wound down. Who knows what they were thinking?
We have a game to dissect for historical purposes, as the Bucs win a shutout game without completing a pass? The running game was dominant, while the defense had four interceptions while allowing only 8 completions. Atlanta was so bad they couldnt even score on a 76 yrd pass play ...
Big divisional win for Lions over Vikes, while Garner Minshew leads a nice comeback win for the Birds against the Cowboys.

I figured this would be easily researched using Stathead. Find team games with 0 passes completed and 0 points allowed. However it gave me a list of games ending n 1930 in which a lot of these games clearly had a pass completed. Game level stats are sketchy at best in the 1920s so I probably encountered a glitch on Stathead. It might require newspaper level research to "prove" the last game meeting this criteria!

I knew about the Browns beating the Eagles in 1950, but that game wasnt a shutout. The last time a team win happened with 0 passing yards was Bills vs Jets in 1974, yet that wasnt a shut out either. I read where the Redskins won a game in 1955 with -3 passing yards. If I am not mistaken, the Bills-Jets game in 1974 only had two completions for the entire game, which also might be the record, at least going back to the 1920s.

As per the p-f-r email that went out today, this is the last game ever with 0 passes completed and 0 points allowed!
