Yep and I do think JPeters, TSMith and TWilliams all get in PFHOF before Johnson-and those other three will also not be first ballot either

Tyron Smith and Lane Johnson have very similar careers in terms of talent but lots of games missed due to injuries.
Paul or John ... any word on a PFHOF preliminary list for the Class Of 2027 announcement?

no news on the preliminary list, all my voter contacts are no longer voters, and staff at PFHOF are no longer responsive to any enquiries on any matters (including from active members of the football media)...could be Hall response to fallout from 2026 election and decision by Hall to be less inclusive and transparent about elections..including such directives to new voting committee to be silent on all matters related to Hall election.. which means we get that list (or not) when and if Hall decides to make public..and reality is they started this 2027 election cycle about a month later than recent years, in getting voters and new subcommittees populated, so likely that list and round of voting was also delayed.

I am not sure there will be one like there used. You have all the moderns and all the seniors together; those were each 150+ ... seems it would be 300+ with names from Lewellen or Dilweg through guys like Gronk. Maybe unweidly? Don't know for sure what that would look like.

The question I would have is without a list to start with (granted yes moderns plus seniors would likely be 300+) where would the initial "screening" group start in getting to their list of 50 semifinalists? Without a "ballot" of 300+ we would expect those people to just vote for any 50 and hope the result creates a list of 50 semifinalists? Or perhaps we see a change where Hall no longer makes that list public, just announcement with the 50 or perhaps not even that is made public, but we just see list of 25+ semifinalists??? Will be interesting to see what Hall makes public
