Thurman Thomas to the Dolphins

Wait, has no one mentioned Joe Willie Namath with the Rams? Or Johnny U with the Chargers? Those are the other two big ones I think of. Franco Harris with the Seahawks is another.

Namath only got his chance with the Rams because of Chuck Knox, who had known him since his junior high school days. Knox should have stayed and succeeded Ewbank with the Jets.

With ’71/’72 Cowboys and Dolphins being a new thread elsewhere, along with Super Bowl VI being mentioned in that, how about Herb Adderley - and Forrest Gregg - playing for Big D?

Both being a member of that ’71 World Champion places those two in the same company with Thurston & Brady (if only Fuzzy is a member of the Colts for just one more season before going to Green Bay…).

While on Dallas, another big notable for this topic…Jackie Smith!


Question - just how much playing time did Forrest Gregg get in his one final year with Dallas? I know he did not start any game. Thanks in-advance!

Ronnie Lott went to the Raiders the same year that Craig did.

Tom Flores was the Raiders QB for most of the 1960's, but he ended his career with the Chiefs in 1969.
