Yeah. And, why does the QB have to only be MVP, especially in the last 20 years or so when it's gotten way easier to play the position because defenses have become neutered.
Typically the rebuttal I hear is that someone responds with arguing that quarterback is the most important position on the team.

I’d agree that rule changes since illegal contact became strictly enforced make it easier to pass efficiently, but putting up the best stats in the league at your position is something going for a quarterback regardless of era.
