One tidbit that wasn't in the book: Joe Horrigan asked Daly where they found the evidence that the streak was bogus. When Daly told him "Your library," Horrigan was shocked.
Horrigan also wrote in his 100th anniversary book that the Jets outbid the Chicago Cardinals for Joe Namath, and that the Bucs’ owner was “Hugh Culverson,” so I stopped reading right there.
(There is also another NFL record streak that may or may not be valid because of mistaken identity, but I am still researching it.)
