Great discussion, everyone. I plan to throw Anderson's name in the ring for my next HOVG nominations. IMHO, he belongs. And I'm certainly not a Bears fan, but to me, he has always been a greatly underrated player.

I remember thinking, at the time, that with Anderson and Calvin Thomas in the backfield the Bears might be OK when Walter Payton retired.
Turned out they were pretty good but, of course, there was only one Sweetness.
