The only Titans that became Jets were Maynard, Turner, Mathis, Grantham, Baird, Christy, Hudock, Paulson, Johnson, Fournet and Klotz.

I am surprised no one has mentioned/kicked around Richard Todd yet.
I thought the 1982 Jets was one of the better teams that season and had a decent chance to go all the way.

Todd and Sanchez get kicked around alot, though Sanchez still led the team to two AFC Championship games, something Todd, Pennington and O Brien never did. He actually played well in the 2010/11 postseason but regressed as a QB.

Todd did lead the Jets to the 1982 AFC Championship game (although it was in the "Super Bowl Tournament" structure of the strike-abbreviated season).

Also, the "Sack-Exchange", Freeman McNeil, Lam Jones & Wesley Walker, Joe Fields, Jerome Barkum, Lance Mehl, Ken Schroy... that was a pretty decent team....

Regarding 82, yes what Shula did did severely hamper the Jets. However it was far from a sure thing that the Jets beat Miami on a tarped field. The Jets played Miami twice that year and lost both games. Todd threw something like 10 int's in all 3 games combined against the Dolphins
