All-Pro accolades would have helped Green but top competition from cornerbacks Blount, Haynes, Hayes, Wright, Wehrli and Riley makes recognition tougher for him.

The Browns' secondary (or at least their corners) seemed to get a lot of "love" back in the '80s but I always liked the Chiefs' defensive secondary (all of it) better. To this day I will never understand how it was that Warren Moon nearly set the all-time passing yards-in-one-game record against K.C.Brian wolf wrote:Robert, I think its Lewis ... when he left the Chiefs in 1994, the defense was affected.
