Gary Garrison had 405 receptions over 12 seasons, all but one of them with the Chargers.

Red Phillips had 401 catches over 10 years, the first seven of them with the Rams and last three with the Vikes.

They were a "playoff game" to decide the division title, whereupon the winner played in the NFL Championship Game. Bobby Mitchell was a running back in 1958. Paul Brown benched him around mid-season, supposedly for fumbling.

Paul Brown said in his book that later in the season when they played on frozen and muddy fields, he felt that Lou Carpenter would be more effective in those conditions.

Ken Burrow of the Falcons was one of the better WR's in the early-70's, and he never played in the playoffs:
