Forgot about Al Dorow and Butch Songin. Songin had previously played in Canada and Dorow was probably the best AFL quarterback in 1960 outside of Blanda.

Here is a story about Lou Rymkus. Rymkus had played tackle for Cleveland from 1946 through 1951. When he was head coach of the Houston Oilers in 1960 and part of 1961, he would often say, "That is how Paul Brown would do it," when he was trying to show players something. I guess that he said this quite a bit, so came a day when Houston was losing by a score of about 40 to 0, and it was pouring rain, one Oilers player said to another, "I wonder what Paul Brown would do now?"

The story was meant to be funny, but it shows the respect that Rymkus and others had for Paul Brown around 1960. Of course, that was before Art Modell showed up in Cleveland.
