Interesting there hasn't been a "Tiny" in eons. Guess it's not considered complimentary so recently we get an "Ice Cube" McNeil rather than calling him Tiny. Also 3 different "Big Daddy's", Eugene, Carl and Wilkinson. Any other common ones I'm missing?? Not counting initials like L.T. or O.J. but would count a "Juice", but I don't think anyone wants to be that anymore!
A handful of "Dukes" as well, perhaps best known here would be Duke Slater (not Gomer's buddy ... rather, the son-of-a-minister/All-Pro lineman/Cook County Superior Court Judge).

Good call - I totally missed "Duke" as a common nickname.

By the way, did Chris Berman also coinee his own nickname ("Boomer") like Deion Sanders did?

I always thought Robin Roberts gave him that nickname when they worked together on the ESPN Prime Time back in the 80's and 90's.
