Chris definitely had more contributors on his lists. Cusack was my only non-player. I included Lambeau, Parratt, and Waldsmith on the merits of theit playing career. When you mentioned Lyons, I thought of Chris O'Brien (Cardinals), but he may fit in the 1900-1910 timeframe.

Not tht it means all that much, but Lyons was also the NFL's first "historian," holding that position until into the 1960s.

I may have found a player I snubbed by not considering 1910-14 as closely in Norman "Dutch" Speck - like Al Nesser his pro career started in 1910 and he went on to play several seasons in the NFL. It does appear though that by 1915, he was more of a role player who often came off the bench for Canton.
