After Hernandez was arrested, one of the numerous stories out there described an incident where Hernandez, in his first year with the Patriots, asked Wes Welker how to run a film machine. Welker supposedly said, "Rookie, you figure it out." Hernandez supposedly said, "F**k you, Wes. I'll f**k you up."
I imagine this sort of thing happens often in NFL locker rooms, but the air of menace in Hernandez's reply was apparently a level beyond the typical macho banter.
