Thanks BD. It looks like Pittsburgh should have won that one too.

In their split series in '65, Steelers won the first meeting, on Halloween at Pitt Stadium. Dallas would win the next one that would start a 7-game win-streak vs them; not losing to them again until some game played between them on Jan '76.

Back to '65, Steelers finished 2-12. Their other win that year was the week before that win over Dallas, against the Eagles at Franklin. The so-far historical significance of that one is that the 'Burgh has yet to beat Eagles on the road since ('79 & '08 SB years included; also '97 when Steelers were also the better team). Will the streak finally be broken this September?

If it were up to the Steeler offense in that '65 Eagles game, they would have lost. They won 20-14, scoring three touchdowns (one missed XP), with their first two scores coming on a 17-yard fumble return by Willie Daniel and an 82-yard pick-six by Jim Bradshaw--who also had two other interceptions in the game
