Class of 1955 (quite certain?)
(... brushed shoulders and passed him in the hallway at NEWSWEEK but never heard him mention being frightened of anyone else. That was about 1964 - 1965, maybe 1966. A dear friend was the Cover Editor and went on to be Senior Editor. Schaap was the assistant and went on to be Sports Editor. There were a couple other guys of note: Ben Bradlee was City Editor, Barry Gotterher wrote Sports and went on to legendary status as an aide to Mayor John Lindsay, Jimmy Breslin was on contract for one or two stories a month. Sometimes he did, sometimes he didn't.)

Those kinds of plays were expected."

That would be cool to know. I remember you posting about your playing days in the past but that must have been on the old forums?

Yes, Wikipedia says he was class of 1955 at Cornell, so I missed him by a year. My one year of playing lacrosse was in the spring of 1956, my freshman year.

Yes, it was certainly before this forum. I couldn't even make a good guess at the actual date.
