NICK Saban?

Just like Pete Carroll pre-Seahawks, we never got (and likely will never get) a chance to see how he would have done as a regular NFL HC. I'm a believer that he - a Hoody understudy - would have done quite well had he stayed in South Beach.

I guess we'll never know.

Like Hoodie, he might have needed to go elsewhere to flush out all the mistakes he made in his first go-around. Jimmy Haslam was supposedly pushing for him to return to Cleveland to coach the Browns, but I'm sure the stability he had in Tuscaloosa was more comforting than taking over what's been Chaos Central since 1999.
