Correct!
I thought Alvin Reed or Willie Frazier. Kocourek was pretty consistent and had a monster year in the early part of the decade. I was surprised at how good his numbers looked, as well as the length of his career.

....since games started and production at the tight end position in the afl is reflection on a revolving door at the position; there is a player that for a short time span played terrific football. jim whalen was an outstanding athlete that from mid 67(10-15)through mid 68(10-27) had a 14 game span with 51 receptions for 880 yards, and 8 touchdowns. he was a solid blocker, who demonstrated he could both catch and run to get open deep. best blocker of all the afl tight ends....ernie w. of the bills, while best receiver would be a debate among many.
