'hidden' historic great games

Sorry if this is a repeat thread, but how about great games either between two bad teams or a good team and a bad team? Pretty much 'Team A' vs 'Team B' without knowing who's who and saying, "Wow! What an awesome game!"

I'm sure there are much better examples, but how about GB@Atl '83 and Eagles at Steelers '88 for starters?

What about Steelers vs Packers also in 2009? Green Bay did make the playoffs that year but lost in the wild card round. A year later this was the Super Bowl but it wasn't nearly as good a game as this was. Probably because the Steelers played like they barely practiced or prepared. But that's a different discussion.

In Week 12 of the 1966 season, the Browns were 20-point+ home favorites against the horrible Giants, yet trailed by 20 points early in the third quarter. They made a huge comeback, scoring twice in the final minutes to win 49-40. The Browns were 7-4 and still fighting for a playoff berth, while the Giants were 1-9-1 and coming off the humiliation of the 72-41 loss in Washington.

In Week 10 of the 1969 season, the 2-6-1 49ers jumped out to a 21-0 lead over the 2-7 Saints before New Orleans tied it up in the third quarter at 21 apiece, then took the lead before SF tied it at 28 near the end of the third. NO then scored on a safety and FG before the Niners then scored a touchdown to take a two-point lead. After the teams then traded FGs to again give SF a 38-36 lead, the Saints scored a touchdown with 26 seconds left to win it 43-38.

Eagles at Steelers '88 for starters?

Quoting my own post, I would like to see this game again. Did see it at that time but so long ago. I only remember the 89 yard Brister to Lipps TD in the 3rd Q and Gary Anderson missing a long but doable for him FG last play of the game. Eagles, who were struggling at breaking above 500 so far that season got themselves to 6-5 after that win and would, of course, go on to win division at 10-6. The following week they beat Giants on the road (completing season sweep) in what many called right afterwards, 'Miracle at Meadowlands II - Ten Years Later'.

Looking at box score, I see Merril Hoge had a 100+ yard game and caught a TD pass from Lipps. Cunningham ran for two TDs and Eagles' D-line recorded 4 sacks - Reggie, Jerome, and Clyde each getting one of them. Would like to see how Webbie, in his final year as a Steeler, played against those guys in that game. The 'Burgh in '88 did struggle but did have their moments. They gave Washington and Bengals good games and did go on to beat Houston on the road later on that season perhaps hinting a return to the playoffs the following year.

Week 6 of the 1967 season, the Rams are 13-point favorites over the Skins at home and take a 7-0 lead into the second quarter. The Rams score two TD's, but Washington ties it before halftime. In the third, the Redskins score again, only to see LA tie it up, but in the fourth, Washington scores another TD with less than three minutes left. The Rams then drive down and score with 1:04 left to salvage a tie, the key play coming on a 41-yard pass from Gabriel to Bill Truax to keep the drive going.
