Your nominations for worst football card ever
Your nominations for worst football card ever
Mine is card #109 from the 1977 Topps set...the Chip Myers "Chargers" card. Bad airbrushing, Bengal sideline in the background, and Myers retired before playing with the Chargers.

Looks like a "Depends" ad...

Those kinds of plays were expected."

Just make sure he gets credit for it.Reaser wrote:Rick Reilly having a football card, is/was pretty bad.

The two where they had the wrong Jim Taylor. The two of them look nothing alike. Furthermore, why did Topps even have a pic or the other Taylor. He barely played in the NFL. It pained me to pay money for one of those cards.
Re: Your nominations for worst football card ever
You could just about pick any card from the 1991 and 1992 Pro Line sets. The players were either shirtless and/or just wearing a lot of NFL apparel in stupid poses.

John Hadl 1975 card with the Packers is awful. I always like the "Patriots" no. 5 (maybe an official or chain guy, but not a player).

Re: Your nominations for worst football card ever
I remember in the early 80s Topps had a lot of "guys sitting on the sideline with a towel over their head" poses which I thought were kind of lame.
Re: Your nominations for worst football card ever
Especially since Hadl never faced the Patriots during his season-and-a-half with the Packers. I wondered why they felt compelled to paint over the other team's uniforms in addition to Hadl's Rams uniform.Teo wrote:John Hadl 1975 card with the Packers is awful. Johnny Unitas's "crazy eyes" card is so bad it's good.

Especially since the straight-laced Unitas was kind of the last person you'd think would make such a bizarre face ...
