Biggest One Hit Wonders
Re: Biggest One Hit Wonders
Gary Barnidge. Maybe not the biggest one hit wonder but an odd one. Had a rather anonymous 6 year career as a fringe TE with the Panthers and Browns
Out of nowhere at the age of 30 he catches 79 passes for 1,043 yards and 9 td's. Has an OK follow-up season...55 catches 600 yards. Then retires.

I say Doug Williams. He caught lightning in a bottle at the end of the 1987 season. After that, he was 5-7 before being replaced in Washington. He did lead the Bucs to the postseason in 1979 and 1981 but only won one playoff game before losing another playoff game in the reduced 1982 season. With Tampa, his team was shutout in two of three postseason games. Other than winning the SB, his starting record was 42-45-1counting postseason.

Too early to mention Jayden Daniels and the 2024 Commanders?

Sounds like a bandwagon fan. It reminds me of the 49er bandwagoners that didn't know who the coach or QB were before Walsh and Montana. He replied with a Snoop Dogg meme something like "Who the hell is that lol". Imagine being a Cowboys fan and not knowing who Bob Lilly is. Pure madness.

How about Jamal Anderson 1998? 400 carries and the least impressive 1800 yard season of all time

If we are talking teams, then the 1998 Falcons deserve mention.
