Kirk Cousins

Post by 74_75_78_79_ »

What are your overall takes on him? What QBs from past eras would you liken him to?

If Raiders, this season, keep winning and make it all the way to the playoffs, I guess that’ll mean Kirk kept playing well enough to keep Mendoza on the bench for his entire rookie season!

Or do you see a (Smith-to-Kaepernick) mid-season change regardless of good QB-play/winning?

I said past eras, but as for recently, would Cousins and Alex Smith be in the same boat?

He is playing well but is so jittery in the pocket, you hope he doesnt get injured. Needs to take deeper drops.

He'll either get injured or there will be a Kurt Warner/Eli Manning move made at some point.

If the Raiders win enough to get in the postseason, Kirk is not coming out. Mendoza is far from ready and unless they fall apart by the midway point, he will remain as QB2 for the season.

Kirk has always reminded me of Phil Simms: Not great, but good enough to get a really good team to the SB.
