Reid has had an incredible career and could still challenge Don Shula's career coaching record if his team could stay at the top. I dont feel he will coach more than two or three seasons though, so we will see.
Winning with both a HOF, HOVG and another good QB in Smith helps his legacy but I would still rate other coaches like Shula, Belichick, Lombardi, Brown, Noll, Walsh and Landry as better but its close.

During the Super Bowl era which excludes Brown, Halas, Lambeau, I would have Noll, Walsh, Gibbs and maybe Parcells ahead of Reid.

Parcells???? Two Super Bowl titles, three Super Bowl appearances, .540 winning percentage, 10 playoff seasons out of 19 coaching seasons. Ahead of Reid?

Not Bill Belichick???
Not Vince Lombardi???
Not Don Shula??
Not Tom Landry???
For me Reid sits around 10th or 11th all time, perhaps 8th or so in SB era

It's not all about Super Bowls or Don Coryell would not be in the HOF. Who were his QBs with the Giants? Phil Sims was good but not Mahomes. He took NE to a Super Bowl pre Brady, and led the Jets to a conference game which is the most success they had since Joe Namath.saturdaysarebetter wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2026 1:10 am Parcells???? What did Landry win from 1980 to 1988, and what did Shula win from 1975 until 1996? Belichick had the all time, greatest QB and the scandals during his era lowered his ranking IMO.PaulPFHOF wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2026 12:35 pmEagles One wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2026 12:10 am During the Super Bowl era which excludes Brown, Halas, Lambeau, I would have Noll, Walsh, Gibbs and maybe Parcells ahead of Reid.
