Question - Why would the Dolphins trade Jay Ajayi, who rushed for over 1,200 yards last year and was on course to rush for over 1,000 this year, to the Eagles for draft picks, when that makes the Dolphins team rushing leader Damien Williams, who has a grand total of 32 yards on 12 carries in the 2017 season, just ahead of Kenyan Drake, who has rushed for 25 yards this season? The Dolphins were already 31st in the league in rushing with Ajayi, how is this going to improve the team? I know Ajayi was having problems in Miami, but the Dolphins didn't plug the hole by trading him. It seems like they have just given up on the 2017 season.
Of course, this makes the Eagles the team to beat in the NFC and quite possibly the NFL, especially if Ajayi and Blount click and Wentz continues to improve.

Plenty written on it, I see! 'Only' nine years ago, nothing 'Classic' nor old-school nostalgic, but worth mentioning as well as revisiting. Both McVay and McDermott's playoff debuts as HCs, each leading their respective franchise to their first playoff berth in eons. The year before Mahomes immediately taking off to the stars; Patrick on the bench, however, for this rookie year of his (just like Brady in 2000). This would be the Steelers' last season of, at least, SB-flirtation under Mike Tomlin, finishing a second-seeded 13-3 almost beating NE late to get top instead. Eagles win the Super Bowl thus starting an era of regular-enough contention/high-expectations in the City of Brotherly though Hurts nor Sirianni arrived yet.

Yes, there's Chuck Howley. But, to me, the REAL Super Bowl MVP of ANY losing team is...TOM! Geez, the Greatest game a QB ever played! If you told me his stats prior to the game, I would have NEVER imagined the Pats actually...LOSING! Foles maybe a good game, but good enough to actually...keep UP?? Foles a decent game, maybe, but they lose by at least two TDs, right?
Yes, I loved and was so enthused about the Eagles winning that SB. It WAS a good game! But the reason as for me not placing it in the top-10 - maybe not even top TWENTY - Super Bowls is because of...NO DEFENSE! It was, basically, a sandlot game. The only defense play, essentially, was the Birds forcing Tom to make that fumble.
I just, simply, wish it was more like what we saw on that MNF game the following year between the Chiefs and the Rams! Offense AND defense, together! Even in a high-scoring game! Old-school sense aside, maybe that game IS...the BEST Regular Season Game of All-Time!
Steelers...you always want your team to WIN the SUPER BOWL each and every year! But, man, just to go back to a time when the attitude is...make it to the CCG, win (mmm, not against the Pats), and then go from there and see if luck can help! Well, not the case the last decade, so I guess as a Steeler-fan, I should have some FWIW 'nostalgia' for 2017! That WAS the last year that there was at least SOME Super Bowl-hype in the 'Burgh.
Yeah, yeah, the big start in 2020. But despite some quality-wins, it still felt funny. And COVID didn't make it feel any better as evidenced in their eventual slide anyway. No. 2017 was the last time of any FWIW 'hope'. Still waiting for a playoff win since '16.
And the JAGS?? Didn't imagine they/Marone being...a one-hit-wonder!
