REMINDER time of year to submit nominations for PFHOF class of 2027

Post by PaulPFHOF »

Anyone can make a nomination, a modern candidates who did not get at least 4 votes in the round for the class of 2026 modern semifinalists (25) needs to be nominated again as they are not automatically placed on the ballot by the Hall, and senior candidates who did not get at least 2 votes in the round for the class of 2026 modern semifinalists (25) need to be nominated again as they are not automatically placed on the ballot by the Hall. Final decision on candidates on those ballots is based in the opinion of the Selection Process Committee of the Hall’s Board of Directors, that they have a reasonable chance of eventual Hall of Fame election. At minimum, one major post season award (All Pro, Pro Bowl, MVP. etc..) is expected. Both modern and preliminary class of 2027 ballots will go though at least two drafts over the summer before finalized and sent out for initial round of elections in September. Paul

Paul ... is this you from Zoneblitz.com? Either way, I am going to do another write-in ballot for senior DE Gene Brito to the PFHOF ... the question is, how many write-in votes can I nominate/submit? Is there a yearly limit? I may have to use different names, addresses ...

there are no limits, you can submit as long as list of moderns and also one for seniors as you would like, just remember one season honor is required (pro bowl, all pro, MVP etc....) and Hall staff have final say on those placed on final version of the two preliminary lists used in first stage of voting, hence one might nominate a player and not see them make that preliminary list

Haha ... "The Hall Staff" had better do their homework and not screw up a deserving candidate ballot ... its so darn subjective though.

The voters and committee members are discouraged from doing backroom deals on getting candidates voted into the PFHOF, but for fan write-in ballots, I will gladly do write-in candidate ballots for fans, writers and researchers on this site who back my candidates.

I have wrote-in balloted for DE Gene Brito and hope others will do the same for any seniors or moderns that they feel deserve to make the preliminary lists. Now is the time ...

voters and committee members also free to nominate any qualified modern and senior candidates, no limit and no "deal making" required to get them on those lists
