The pick of Simpson by the Rams is curious ... just not a great pick when they could have added an offensive lineman, pass catching receiver/tight end or linebacker depth.
You could see how perplexed McVay was with the pick.
The Titans could have had Reese or Downs but went with Tate. He could pan out, but needs to be the go-to guy quickly. Reese can do alot of things and though #4 might have been high for Downs, he could have helped at linebacker as well. They needed a splash pass rusher but didnt feel Bain was their man that high?
Lets see if Allar can develop for the Steelers?

Re: 2026 NFL Draft
I'm not sold on any of the QBs picked in the first two days; as a Penn State fan, I've seen enough of Drew Allar to figure he's not going to be the answer in Pittsburgh. I think Simpson was taken too early, and Mendoza was in a perfect situation in college which he won't be in Las Vegas. But who knows. Twenty years ago the 2006 draft was supposed to be one of the greatest in NFL history, and the only Hall of Famer it produced was Devin Hester.

Re: 2026 NFL Draft
The "fall" of Arvell Reese may wind up being the biggest story of this draft.
Predicted by many (most?) to be the most gifted/best player available wound up going fifth to the Giants.
Given the popular wisdom (oxymoron?) that the Raiders had to take a QB with the first pick it seemed almost certain the second pick would be Reese.
But the Jets preferred Bailey while the Cardinals and Titans went for offense... leaving Reese for the Giants.
Of course, we probably won't be able to fully evaluate the draft for several years but watching the "best" pick in the draft go fifth was a surprise for me and likely a bonanza for Big Blue.
