A note from Executive Director Lee Elder

Post by Lee Elder »

To my fellow PFRA members:

If you are in the habit of reading the Minutes of the PFRA Board of Directors meetings, you may have noticed that I gave notice to the Board of Directors of my intention to retire as your Executive Director no later than the end of this year. That happened at the end of our most recent meeting. I planned the announcement and President George Bozeka was already aware of my intent.

The Executive Director position is not an elected seat on the Board. The position is appointed by the President. Had I been an elected officer, I would have completed my term and then simply not stood for re-election.

I have very much enjoyed my time as your Executive Director. Our current Board is a very good one and I have liked working with every member. We've accomplished some nice steps forward in the last few years. As I leave, the PFRA is on good financial footing.

The reason for my retirement is that my wife and I have some things we want to do within a few years. I want to devote my energy in those directions. So, I'll read The Coffin Corner, attend PFRA conventions when possible and hope the Rams win another Super Bowl soon.

With best regards,

Lee Elder

Thank you, Lee, for all you've done for all of us.
The PFRA wouldn't be the same without your efforts.

I hope you and your wife "follow your bliss" and have many happy years and travels ahead of you.
Godspeed, indeed.
