Clark Judge's annual post-vote column

Post by readjack »

Hi all — PFHOF 2026 is in: Roger Craig, Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Luke Kuechly, Adam Vinatieri. Clark Judge asked myself and Ken Crippen to publish his annual post-vote column, including debate times. Here it is!

Interesting that Manning required 35 minutes of debate.

From Judge's article:

"Voters are warming to specialists. Vinatieri is the second modern-era specialist to be enshrined in three years and the fourth in the past 13. So what? So, prior to 2014 (Ray Guy), only one — kicker Jan Stenerud — was enshrined in six decades. But that was then and this is now … and now Guy, Morten Andersen (2017), Devin Hester (2024) and Vinatieri (2026) have broken the glass ceiling."

The Bolding is mine... and this excludes kickers who also played other positions such as Blanda and Groza.

Belichick doesn't belong but Vinatieri does?
In what world does that sound right?
