For the Packers, getting Reed back will help but can Watkins continue to stay healthy? If he can, it will get interesting. The Bears proved they could keep Parsons off Williams. Can they continue that with the rematch that could decide the division?
Lots of questionable to bad calls by the referrees yesterday. I remember a facemask call by the Texans last night, where the pass rusher's finger barely touched Mahome's facemask. The Ravens got called for running over the longsnapper against the Steelers. They didnt hit him in the neck or head. What were they supposed to do, not touch him at all?

I may have been one of only a few people here who watched the Dolphins-Jets game yesterday. The officials were into the low block by a defender penalty. One was questionable and one was horrifically wrong. The flag thrown against Qwan'tez Stiggers was questionable. In real time I thought it was a good flag. Not so much after I saw the replay. The flag thrown against Isaiah Oliver was terrible. Oliver was not trying to block anyone. He was attempting to tackle the ball carrier!Brian wolf wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 2:13 pm Lots of questionable to bad calls by the referrees yesterday. Maybe that will be a penalty if/when tackling is outlawed. Attempting to tackle an opponent- 10-yard penalty! Tackling an opponent, of course, will be at least a 15-yard penalty. It might even be a fine and a suspension.
Anyway, it is weird how one of the lesser common penalties will be called multiple times in a random game against a certain team. It makes it seem like the opposing coaching staff told the officials to look out for the particular infraction.

Two turnovers (an interception and a fumble) on one play by one player (Jalen Hurts).
Pretty sure I haven't seen that before... has it been done before?
And (per Buck) 5 turnovers in "the last" 11 plays.
A game worth seeing if only for a unique level of ineptitude...

Chargers have their chance after AJ Brown--who kept celebrating catches during the Eagles drive--drops a TD pass. Can the Chargers tie the game?
Chargers tie it, but Herbert's injury has to be affecting his accuracy. Can anyone remember a play that had three turnovers?
I guess AJ Brown can temper his theatrics. That TD drop cost them the game. With the Chargers winning, more dirt to throw on the Chiefs chances of making the playoffs.

And that goes with my question about "two turnovers on one play by the same player."Brian wolf wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 12:21 am ....Can anyone remember a play that had three turnovers?
Both of those are from the same play... I wonder how much beer was spilled in that ~15 second time span.
(I'm hoping for answers to the first two questions... not expecting one on the third.)

I have seen QBs recovering their own fumbles before throwing an interception--and even that is rare--but never having two lost turnovers on the same play. It had to have been done before 1978?
This play still takes me back to the Chargers during the 2006/07 playoff game against the Patriots where McCree intercepts Brady on 4th down--rather than knocking down the pass--and fumbles the ball back to NE who go on to tie the game and later win. The epitome of a bad luck Marty Schottenheimer playoff loss.

I remember hearing that NE used to really focus/coach this, whenever there is an INT or turnover...focus on going for the ball. You're going to have guys handling the football during a play that normally do not carry a football during gamesBrian wolf wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 6:01 am I have seen QBs recovering their own fumbles before throwing an interception--and even that is rare--but never having two lost turnovers on the same play.
