I've heard a variety of things about Darnold over the past few years.
In particular after seeing him have the pro bowl caliber season he did in Minnesota then flame out at the end.
I've also heard people say that he's much worse when pressured so I have to ask how the Seahawks offensive line has been for him.
How good is Sam Darnold? How good is Seattle's line?

Darnold will be happier with Shaheed ... is this end for Kupp, or can he be a factor down the stretch?

Cooper Kupp to me is looking like the modern day Crazylegs Hirsch.Brian wolf wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 6:42 pm Darnold will be happier with Shaheed ... is this end for Kupp, or can he be a factor down the stretch?
In 1951, Hirsch led the league in receiving yards, receptions, and receiving touchdowns, was a pro bowler and first team all pro and and helped the Rams win a championship.
The same could also be said for Kupp in 2021. In addition, Kupp also received an MVP vote as a receiver, had the most first downs receiving in the NFL in 2021 (that total is not available for 1951 but the Rams did have the most passing first downs in the league by a margin of 15 so who knows), and to top it off he had the excellent postseason he did (33 receptions on 42 targets; for 478 yards, 19 first downs, and six receiving touchdowns) culminating in a Super Bowl MVP.
However, Hirsch outside of 1951 had two other pro bowl years, and Kupp has no other pro bowls or all pros any other year. So for both of them they had one excellent, generational season and didn't exactly do a ton else of note (at least in terms of receiving stats) the rest of their careers.
If Kupp is a factor down the stretch, and looks a little bit like he did in 2021, or even 2019 or 2020 before it, it'd be a nice weapon to have in the offense and a good target to play off of JSN (who is great this year, but if a player is averaging as many receiving yards as he's averaging I wonder if our offense could be too predictable).
