Re: 2025 NFL Season Wks 6 - 9
I still think Rodgers and the Steelers will secure the division but it doesnt help giving up 28 points in the second half in a game that was winnable. The defense still has work to do with the running game getting better.
Tight End Day was fitting yesterday. Alot of TDs by tight ends, including last night.

Despite the "just" 5-3 record, could it be that KC thus far is better this season than they were last season? I know that very 15-1 team going into the finale got gruff last year by some. My rebuttal was "a win is a win"/close-wins-show-character for the most part.
I never looked at their stats from last year until just now and actually saw that not only was their offense at #16, defense at #9, but their net Y/P was a MINUS-point-two!! Looking at where they're at thus far and I see they're at #5 in offense, #4 in defense, and a positive-point-five in net Y/P!
There is a moment-of-truth showdown coming up at Rich this Sunday, and KC is actually favored at -1.5! Maybe I was a bit wrong in contradicting any criticism on them last year, but so far my take on them going into this season - "until they get knocked off, they're still in-charge of the AFC" - seems to be correct. Would the Eagles even beat them by a lopsided margin in a current Super Bowl event?

I don't have many moments of being proud as a jets fan but beating Cinci in the wake of Mangold's passing kind of reminded me of them going up to Buffalo (with Browning Nagle at QB of all people) and beating the Bills late in the year in 1992. A nice unexpected surprise to remember during an otherwise lost season

Big day for underdog teams with many close games and teams rallying during wk 9. Of course the all-time record with Little kicking a huge FG from 68 yards for Jax. Sad news out of GB, as they lose the game while losing their TE, Kraft, who was on his way toward an All-Pro season to a knee injury.
Despite more heroics from Joe Flacco, the awful Bengals defense allows the Bears to take the game. Another big regular season victory for Buffalo over KC, if they can just find a way to do it in the postseason. Steelers defense decides to show up as the Colts finally lose another game. A huge win for maligned, JJ McCarthy as well as the Vikings upset the Lions. With Stroud getting a concussion, the Broncos rally to win their sixth-straight game over the Texans. The Raiders also lose to Jax as they fail a PAT that would have tied it*
Edited ... my bad, the Raiders did miss an extra point, but it was early in the game. With a chance to tie it in OT, they chose for the win but didnt convert the two-point try. Is this team any different than the disaster under HC Antonio Pierce last year?
Stick a fork in the Commanders, theyre done as far as the playoffs.

Hat tip to Joe Flacco - 470 yards at forty years old.

After tonight’s loss, ESPN gives the Cowboys a 9% chance to make the playoffs.

Even with Logan Wilson traded to the Cowboys from Cincy, its doubtful this team will make the playoffs. Too many problems in coverage and pass rush. Even Bland, a player I like, had a bad night in coverage. It looked to me that Aubrey might have rushed his kick last night that went wide. Would have tied the record from 68 yards.

Lots of trade activity today as the Jets seem to be more comfortable molding future draft pick players than coaching up the talent that they already have, dealing Gardner to the Colts and Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys for #1 picks. Three I believe, while also grabbing Adonai Mitchell from the Colts. Mazi Smith went to the Jets from Dallas. Dallas also got Wilson from the Bengals.
The Seahawks get more receiver speed and special teams with Shaheed from the Saints. Jakobi Meyers goes from the Raiders to the Jags, who have had a so-so rookie season from Hunter so far.
Dre'mont Jones went from the Titans to the Ravens yesterday.

The Colts offer was probably too good for the Jets to pass up.Brian wolf wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 3:55 pm Lots of trade activity today as the Jets seem to be more comfortable molding future draft pick players than coaching up the talent that they already have, dealing Gardner to the Colts and Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys for #1 picks. Quinnen Williams was not talking to the media after games and was disgruntled although that was not really known outside of Jets circles. I don't like good players being traded for picks but again it was a good package.
